Rachel & Dan – Married

Rachel and Dan had an unusual wedding… in that they had already been married for a year. They fell in love while Rachel was working at the Christian Discipleship Program run by Dan’s parents and had a small ceremony on the farm in Southern Ontario. But of course Mom wanted the big Cinderella wedding and Cinderella she got. What a stunning bride and what a beautiful day.

Devon & Leanne – Married

Devon and Leanne had the most emotional wedding I’ve ever been to. The speeches at the reception had almost everyone crying, even I had to hold back the tears. The story these two have had to walk throughout their relationship, and especially in the last few months is more than most in a lifetime. Their love for each other is incredible.

Rachel & Dan – Engaged

Rachel and Dan had planned to meet me at the English Gardens… but it was raining and they called wondering if I had any indoor ideas. Well Zarah’s parents bought a new house that is straight out of the 70s and I’ve been waiting for an excuse to shoot there. What a house, and in the end the rain let up enough to go outside a bit too.

Forrest & Helen – Engaged

Forrest and Helen are excited to be getting married in their home town in China this upcoming November. In China the tradition is to do your wedding photos before the wedding so you can show them on the wedding day. They wanted to show their life and joy in their new home here in Winnipeg to their friends and family in China. We chose to maintain a good taste of Winnipeg throughout the shoot. Forrest and Helen, I had so much fun on this shoot. Congrats and all the best on your wedding day!!

Josh & Iza – Married

I was so thankful for the weather on July 30th, perfect for a wedding. High of 24, overcast in the morning during the photos then the sun broke through to give everyone that sunny warmth every bride wants for the ceremony in a well shaded spot. Couldn’t have asked for anything better and they shone bright themselves. Congrats Josh and Iza!

Nicole & Colin – Engaged

Bringing dogs on engagement shoots has become a bit of a trend for me this summer it seems but Nicole & Colin’s little puppy was the littlest thing I’ve ever seen. She was only 6 weeks old and at most 2 pounds. We had to keep her in her little tote bag much of the time which she wasn’t very happy with. Amongst the little squeaking barks we found some amazing locations and Nicole and Colin let loose and had fun. They were brave and followed me into some all terrain spots but it was all worth it in the end.

Christie & Kevin – Engaged

Kevin and Christie brought Lola, their tiny little dog along and she was cute as a button. We did some ball chasing shoots for their Cinema|Portrait and completely tired the poor girl out after only a couple throws. The poor thing panted exhausted for the rest of the shoot, but Kevin and Christie were naturals and so fun and easy going. Thanks for the Bakudan
